Notice of Starting Using New Visa Application Forms

In accordance with the instructions from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China, from September 1, 2007 on, the new visa application form must be used at the time of submitting visa application. All previous visa application forms will no longer be accepted. Details as follows:

1. To make the process more convenient for the visa applicants, the new form can be downloaded from the consulate's website: http: toronto.chineseconsulate.org. (Go to Passport & Visa, Visa Application Form). The new visa application forms are also available at the visa office of the Consulate.

2. A new section has been added to the new application form. Section 6. Application Form Completed by Another Person. It is permitted that the application form is filled out by a person other than the applicant, provided that the applicant signs the form himself (herself) (Not including minors under 18 years of age). In the event of that the form is filled out by a staff member of a travel agency, the seal of the travel agency should be stamped at "Section 6. Application Form Completed by Another Person"

3. The applicant must fill out the visa application form truthfully and completely. Or the applicant's credibility will be in question.

4. It is hereby announced that all previous visa applications forms will be nullified by September 1, and will no longer be accepted by our staff. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by this.
